How to Join Yahoo Groups

Have you signed up for PACE's Yahoo Group? If not you are missing out on club announcements, last minute drive changes or spontaneous rides on a special top-down day. Once you've signed up you will receive all PACE announcements via email. Joining a group in Yahoo! Groups is a quick and easy process. You can join a group in two ways:

  • Join the Group
    • Receive group messages
    • Post messages to the group
  • Join the group’s mailing list 
    • Receive group messages only
    • Can't post messages
Note: Joining the mailing list is the simplest way to stay in touch with PACE Events. See the last section for below for sign up instructions. 

To join the PACE group:

1.  Go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/PaceMiataClub/. Click the Join This Group! button in the upper-right corner of the group’s page.

2.  If you’re not already signed in to your Yahoo! account, enter your Yahoo! ID and password in the Sign In to Yahoo! box that appear then proceed to step 3 below.

 If you don’t have a Yahoo! account, you can create one by clicking New User? Register link as shown.
Complete the registration form then click the Create My Account button. You now have a Yahoo Account. If you aren't already at the PACE group page you can find it by clicking here.

3.  On the Join This Group page that appears, set your membership preferences:
  • The public profile you want displayed to the group
  • The email address at which you'd like to receive group messages
  • How you want group messages delivered
  • The display format for email messages you receive
4.  Click Join in the lower-right corner of the page.
Remember you will receive an email notifying you of your acceptance to the group.

Subscribe to a group’s mailing list only

If you’re not sure you want to join a particular group, you can try it out by signing up just to receive email messages from the group. However, when you’re only on the mailing list, you can’t access the group's web features (photos, files, links, polls, and calendar).

To subscribe to a group's mailing list via email:

  1. Send a blank email to pacemiataclub-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
  2. To activate your subscription, just reply to the confirmation message you receive from the group.
